English at University

Hello everyone, today I am going to tell you how I found this experience of English in the university of Chile.   This course is very special compared to the rest of the compulsory curriculum, since it is a space where language and interaction between the participants is used in a stronger way than in other subjects, and I believe that the use of blog and this type of platform further enhances that connection between colleagues.   Undoubtedly these English courses that I have taken at the university have helped me to learn much more about this language, but I think I still have deficiencies, such as "speaking in English", articulating a conversation with an English-speaking person is something It is still difficult for me, so what I am planning to do is join conversation groups in which you can share with English people and also Chileans who speak English in order to improve at this point.   This semester I have used English a lot outside the classroom, this i...

Future Job

Hello everyone, this time I am going to tell you what I am going to do when I grow up   I am currently studying architecture and the line of specialization that I would like to follow is that of architectural technologies, in fact I have already taken several specialization electives in that area and I want to do my undergraduate seminar on a subject related to this topic to achieve the mention.   Some electives I have taken are for example wood construction, tensile structures, and the practical materials experimentation workshop. These topics have always interested me above all because of the practical issue that implies being more in contact with materials, being able to understand and modify them in a more analogous way.   Now that I am advancing in my career, it is impossible not to think about the future and what work I could do and without a doubt the first thing that I would consider when choosing it is that I like it, and that I can continue to...

Between Rock & Cumbia

Imagen
Hello everyone, today I will talk about my favorite music.   I must admit that I like various musical styles, but without a doubt the ones I like the most are rock and cumbia. I like the music of Los Enanitos Verdes and Soda Stereo, the latter came through a cousin who is a little older than me, and who liked to listen to their songs, he lives next to my house so I grew up listening to this music and I started to like it more as I grew up, I really like the diversity of topics that their songs play and the sounds they achieve are extraordinary, all this crowned with the incomparable voice of Gustavo Cerati.   Another group that I like a lot is Santa Feria, a Chilean band of "Nueva Cumbia", which I listen to a lot when I get together with friends, as it is a very happy music and that we like all the group of friends that we got together, in fact we have gone to a couple of concerts that they have given, in which the atmosphere is incredible.   I hope tha...

Food

Hello everyone, today I will talk about my favorite food.   I must admit that I have a special weakness for Italian food and pasta, I find them delicious, but without a doubt my favorite dish within this category is lasagna. I really like to prepare it, even if I am not an expert in the kitchen, although without a good helper. It entertains me a lot to prepare it since it can also be prepared in different ways, the other day together with some friends we prepared a version of veggies that is quite good and very delicious.   It is super easy to prepare it, it is just to layer the dough, bolognese sauce, cheese, and repeat. It is simple to make and super rich.   And if you have not yet been able to try the lasagna made with vegetables, you must, I assure you that you will not regret it.   See you soon

Plebiscite Sunday, october 25th

Imagen
Hello everyone, today I am going to tell you how I lived the "Chilean national plebiscite"   Without a doubt, last Sunday was one of the most important days in the history of Chile, since for the first time the citizens were given the power to choose either Approve or Reject a new constitution, which would replace the current one, which is deeply marked and idealized by the postulates of the Pinochet dictatorship.   That day, when I turned on the television, I saw how the Chileans went en masse to their respective polling stations, which I am very happy about, since that way we would have the representation that this process deserved.   Around 5 PM we went to the polling station with my parents, we did not go in the morning because it was too crowded, and then to avoid the high concentration of people we preferred to return later.   The hours prior to the vote counting were quite stressful and anxious, all I wanted was for them to give the results ... ...

Place i`d like to travel to

I would like to know the city of Paris, because it represents a world architectural capital that any architect in training would like to know, also because it has an incredible beauty that is reflected as a whole and at the same time in every detail. Paris has impressive places, such as its magnificent museums full of history and that guard the works of great artists, the Garnier palace (The Paris Opera), the Notre Dame church, the triumphal arch, the Pompidou building that represents a of the most fantastic modern architecture works in the world to be all the facilities in sight which reveals its pure functionality, and of course the imposing Eiffel Tower inescapable landmark of the "light city".I would love to be able to walk its wide boulevards and green spaces accompanied by my friends and family to get lost in the Parisian bohemian atmosphere and discover all the wonders that this incredible city can offer.
