English at University
Hello everyone,
today I am going to tell you how I found this experience of English in the
university of Chile.
This course is
very special compared to the rest of the compulsory curriculum, since it is a
space where language and interaction between the participants is used in a
stronger way than in other subjects, and I believe that the use of blog and
this type of platform further enhances that connection between colleagues.
Undoubtedly
these English courses that I have taken at the university have helped me to
learn much more about this language, but I think I still have deficiencies,
such as "speaking in English", articulating a conversation with an
English-speaking person is something It is still difficult for me, so what I am
planning to do is join conversation groups in which you can share with English
people and also Chileans who speak English in order to improve at this point.
This semester I
have used English a lot outside the classroom, this is because I am developing
the first part of my seminar in architecture, which consists mainly of
consulting specialized literature on the research topic and most of the
bibliography that I'm interested in this written in English. Another thing in
which I have also used English a lot is in the programs that are usually used
in architecture such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Photoshop, Rhinoceros, Maya Autodesk
among other software’s in which the most stable free student version is the one
that It is in English, and therefore the "commands" to perform
certain tasks are in English, which in a certain way also contributes to
improving English.
In short,
English is undoubtedly an indispensable tool in the age in which we live and
improving these skills should be a priority for future professionals.
That is all see you later!!!
